Chichester City Council employs the services of a Chartered Planning Adviser to consider and report on a range of planning applications and other matters to its two Planning Committees. It is seeking a replacement for the present post holder who is retiring at the end of April.
The role requires a qualified professional planner, architect or surveyor who is experienced in assessing development proposals, report writing and making presentations to committees. Computer skills are required to write reports, to download material from the District Council web site and formulate visual presentations.

CASUAL FACILITIES OFFICER
Hourly rate of £7.90 enhanced to £11.85 for evening and Saturday working
To provide cover on a casual basis at the Council House. Working hours will be mainly evenings and weekends (according to rota) plus holiday/sickness cover. A flexible approach and the ability to work at short notice is essential.
Duties will include responsibility for the security of the building, preparation of halls for hirers, supporting colleagues in preparing for meetings, events, some Front of House reception work and minor caretaking duties.
The post would suit an active local person, possibly retired (or semi-retired) seeking occasional part-time employment.
