Winners of the 2012 ARD International Competition the Armida Quartet has appeared on the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme and the ECHO (European Concert Hall Organisation) “Rising Stars” series in 2017. As guest Artistic Directors of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in 2021 their programming brought them together with many international artists including their colleagues of the Heath Quartet. Of their latest recording of Mozart the BBC Music Magazine suggested it was “A triumph, both technically and musically”. Their programme will see the UK premiere of a composer the quartet has long championed in the string quartet No. 2 of Marko Nikodjevic.
