PROPERTY MAINTENANCE OFFICER
37 hours per week salary £20,344 - £22,462 (SP 9-14)
Chichester City Council is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and adaptable person to join the Property Maintenance Team, reporting to and assisting the Property Manager in the maintenance of City Council buildings, green spaces and other assets.
This role would suit an experienced general builder or someone with a background in property maintenance. It is an interesting and varied role which includes painting and decorating, carpentry, brickwork and roof repairs, general handyman duties, cleaning, grass cutting, hedge trimming and general grounds maintenance. A good working knowledge of health and safety, electrics, plumbing and building services is essential and horticultural experience would be advantageous. The successful applicant will need to be physically fit and competent in the use of power tools and garden machinery. A driver’s licence is also essential.
