The Mayor

The Mayor of Chichester for 2020/2021 is Councillor Richard Plowman.

The Mayoress is Mrs Lynne Plowman

The Deputy Mayor is Councillor John Hughes and the Deputy Mayoress Consort Councillor Cherry Hughes

The Mayor's Chaplain is Canon David Nason

This year's Mayoral Charities are :

The Chestnut Tree House Hospice (Chichester branch)

and

Chichester Down Syndrome Support Group

The Mayor of Chichester is elected by Members of the City Council in May each year and receives an annual allowance of £4,000 (paid in two instalments).

The Mayor is happy to attend events in the City and, by special arrangement, attend functions outside the City boundary.

The Mayor's weekly engagement diary - due to the current Coronovirus pandemic and Government guidelines, the Mayor is not undertaking any official in person engagements. However, he is still currently active in supporting the community in Chichester and the work of the City Council and can be contacted using the details above.
