TREES – Let’s Grow a Forest – FREE event and competition!

Chichester City Council and Chichester Tree Wardens are holding a TREE SUMMIT to celebrate Chichester’s tree heritage, how trees help us today and how important they are for our future.

As part of the Tree Summit, we are holding a free entry “Let’s Grow a Forest!” public drop-in event on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April 2020 in the Old Court Room, The Council House, North Street, Chichester.

It is FREE entry and EVERYONE is welcome.

A copy of the poster for this event can be found on our website at https://trees.chichestercity.gov.uk – it would be great if everyone could spread the word and put these posters up to tell everyone about this event.

Please email trees@chichestercity.gov.uk if you need hard copies.

We will also be running a “My Favourite Tree” competition with chances to win some great prizes generously donated by The Woodland Trust, The Weald and Downland Museum and Aldingbourne Country Centre.

An entry form is available to download at https://trees.chichestercity.gov.uk or please contact trees@chichestercity.gov.uk to request hard copies.

Entries from all ages are welcome and you can use all kinds of ways to tell us about why you have nominated your favourite tree or trees including photos, drawings, paintings, descriptive writing and poems. Prizes will be presented in several age groups.
