South Downs Soloists, a vocal ensemble of eight professional singers, are based in Chichester and directed by George Haynes, a Lay Vicar at Chichester Cathedral. ‘Sing Psalms and Songs’ will include music old and new, and will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the deaths of William Byrd and Thomas Weelkes.
Following an incredibly well-received and vibrant performance in 2022, South Downs Soloists are excited to be returning to perform in the festival this summer.
This concert is generously sponsored by the Dekker Trust (reg. 1185529), and profits from this performance will be given in aid of the homelessness charity, Stonepillow.
