Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, formed by Artistic Director and pianist, Tom Poster, is a flexible ensemble with an aim to direct the power of its chamber music making towards bringing people together; it unites musicians as equals and draws listeners in to its intimate, transportive world. The ensemble is Associate Ensemble in London’s Wigmore Hall. This concert’s ensemble has a focus on some of the most brilliant wind musicians playing in the UK today, in a masterful programme of some familiar composers of chamber music, and one less familiar as Chichester celebrates the premiere of a new work by British composer, Mark Simpson.
PROGRAMME:
STAMITZ: Quartet in D major, Op. 8, no. 1 for oboe, violin, horn and bassoon
SIMPSON: Nachtstück (2021) for horn and piano
POULENC: Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano
CLARA SCHUMANN: Songs, arr. for bassoon, oboe and piano
BRAHMS: Horn Trio in E flat major, Op. 40
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are not available before the event from the Assembly Rooms.
