Festival of Chichester – A Baroque Bonanza – Vivaldi, Albinoni and Torelli

This event has ended

Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Albinoni’s Concerto for Oboe, and Torelli’s Concerto for trumpet will be performed.

The singers are the Sussex Song Makers, conductor Elizabeth Muir-Lewis, with the Sussex Ensemble, leader Nick Houghton.

The Torelli and the Albinoni complement the beauty of the Vivaldi, creating a feast of early music.

Elizabeth Muir-Lewis is a well-known singer, conductor and teacher. After a fine singing career she turned to conducting, founding and directing the Eastbourne Choral Society, taking them on three European tours.

Nick Houghton, who leads the ensemble, is a well-known freelance continuo player, keyboard accompanist and choral conductor.
