VLMV in concert

This event has ended

VLMV [aka composer and producer Pete Lambrou]’s first ever hometown show at the beautiful Georgian concert hall at Chichester Council House.

Support from Nøelle & AL Lacey

VLMV (pronounced and formerly known as ALMA) is a self-proclaimed ambient-ish post-something singer-songwriter / producer. Part of the illustrious Erased Tapes family, alongside luminaries such as Olafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm, he has released 2 critically acclaimed albums on Fierce Panda Records, alongside 2022’s Sing With Abandon out on Pete’s own label, Nice Weather for Airstrikes. VLMV’s music can be heard around the world featured on various film, TV and games – including 2019’s Champions League Final, and the debut self-titled album pipped Royal Blood in the UK Independent iTunes charts in it’s first week.

Live, VLMV deploys loop stations, guitars, piano, synths, vocal loops, pedalboard tap dancing and instrument swapping to create a slow-moving, high-flying soundscape of luscious one-man-band gravitas.

“Building atmospheric and quietly epic soundscapes that creep up on you unannounced….like a beam of light through a dark, cold night.” – Lauren Laverne BBC6 Music

“As worthy of your love and admiration as anything Sigur Rós or Explosions In The Sky have released” Team Rock

Manchester based, half Ukrainian, half Welsh artist NØELLE creates her own unique blend of electronic music through her use of vast vocal landscapes meets booming basses and hyperpop beats.

A.L. Lacey
Born and bred in Chichester, A.L. Lacey is a classically trained pianist, vocalist and composer, now based in Bristol (UK).

She is due to release her long-awaited debut album (Lesson) via Human Worth Records in late autumn 23 – described as by the label as “a document of luxurious darkness, showcasing her unique melancholy chamber pop sound”.
