PERSONNEL SUB-COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Date: Tuesday 27 May 2025

Time: 2.00pm to 2.55pm

Location: The Council Chamber – The Council House • North Street • CHICHESTER • West Sussex • PO19 1LQ

PRESENT: Councillors McHale (SMH), J Gershater (JG), Squire (KS)

ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Town Clerk (TC)

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

The Sub-Committee noted apologies had been received from Councillor Scicluna

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST BY MEMBERS OF THE PERSONNEL SUB-COMMITTEE IN MATTERS ARISING ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING

No new declarations were made.

3. MINUTES OF THE PERSONNEL SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 20 MARCH 2025

The minutes were AGREED as a correct record, with the exception that the meeting end time should be amended to 1.23pm; and duly signed.

4. PUBLIC BODIES (ADMISSION TO MEETINGS ACT 1960)

The Sub-Committee RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for agenda items 5 due to the nature of the business to be transacted, namely confidential personnel matters.

5. PERSONNEL MATTERS

The Sub-Committee RESOLVED to proceed with the recommendation and to seek advice from the District Council’s Monitoring Officer and Southeast Employers about their availability and costs for attending the panel and to proceed assuming that they fell within the authorisation limits of the Clerk’s delegated authority.

6. DATE OF NEXT MEETING

As required.
