Chichester Remembers 2023

Chichester City Council is responsible for organising the annual Service of Remembrance and wreath laying on Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday of November.

2023 saw the Mayor of Chichester, Councillor Craig J L Gershater, join City Councillors, local civic leaders, veterans groups, serving armed forces personnel, the emergency services, youth organisations, Sussex Police and Police cadets and other community groups in a march through Chichester to the War Memorial at Litten Gardens where those that have paid the ultimate price in service to their country were remembered.

The two minute silence at 11am was marked by a lone bugler and the firing of a 23lb World Ward Two/Korean War field gun by the Garrison Artillery Volunteers.
