2. MINUTES OF THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS WORKING GROUP MEETING HELD ON 6 SEPTEMBER 2021 AND THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS WORKING GROUP (GRANTS) HELD ON 4 OCTOBER 2021.

(a) Minute 21(a) – City Centre floral display
To advise the Working Group that the hanging baskets had now been removed and that the street planters had been replanted with the winter display.
(b) Minute 21(b) – update on the ongoing response to the Coronavirus pandemic
To receive appropriate updates.
(c) Minute 21(d) – Season of Culture
To be discussed under agenda item 8.
(d) Minute 21(e) – Events update – HRH Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee
To receive an update.
(e) Minute 21(f) – Discretionary Grants 2021-22
To note that the second round of Discretionary Grants had been decided and paid.
(f) Minute 25 – Kursk friendship and proposed video linkup
To advise the Working Group that a date has not yet been arranged but that this involved were still keen for it to go ahead.
(g) Minute 26(a) – Appointment to outside body – Safer Sussex Task Force
To be taken under agenda item 13.
(h) Minute 26(b) – Speed limit and noise on the A27 near Chichester
To advise the Working Group that this had been discussed at the Planning and Conservation Working Group meeting on 14 October 2021.
(i) Minute 26(c) – Community led highway schemes

The filming, photographing and recording of City Council meetings is now permitted by those members of the press and public attending. This includes the use of mobile devices by those using social media. It would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to do this could let the Chairman know before the meeting commences.
However, these provisions will not apply on occasions where the press and public are excluded from the meeting when confidential matters are discussed.
It is requested that discretion is exercised and nothing done to disrupt or distract the meeting in any way. The Chairman will reserve the right to request that filming/recording ceases if it is having a detrimental effect upon the meeting. If you do not wish to be filmed then please let the Chairman know so that alternative arrangements can be made.
