PERSONNEL SUB-COMMITTEE
MINUTES

PRESENT: Councillors McHale, Corfield, C Gershater, J Gershater, Knight, Miall, Scicluna
ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Councillor Apel, Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk
8. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
No apologies had been received.
9. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE IN MATTERS ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING
No declarations of interest were made.
10. MINUTES OF THE PERSONNEL SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 27 JUNE 2023
Members noted the correction to the minutes as given on the agenda and RESOLVED to approve the correction to the minute book which was duly signed by the Sub-Committee Chair.
RESOLVED to approve and sign as a correct record the corrected minutes of the Personnel Sub-Committee meeting held on 27 June 2023.
11. PUBLIC BODIES (ADMISSION TO MEETINGS ACT 1960)
It was proposed by Councillor Scicluna, seconded by Councillor Corfield and RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from this meeting for agenda item 5 due to the nature of the business to be transacted, namely confidential staffing matters.
12. PROPOSED OFFICE ROLE REORGANISATION AND POST REGRADING
The Town Clerk presented her report that had been distributed to Councillors prior to the meeting.
It was proposed by Councillor Corfield, seconded by Councillor C Gershater and RECOMMENDED to the Special Meeting of Council on 31 July 2023 that recommendation 1 in the Town Clerk’s report be accepted and that recommendations 4 and 7 in the revised report also be accepted.
