YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO ATTEND A MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER AT 4.00PM ON THURSDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2024

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE IN MATTERS ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING
3. AIR QUALITY IN CHICHESTER
Mr Simon Ballard, Senior Environmental Protection Officer at Chichester District Council, to give a presentation.
4. FUNDING FOR CITY CENTRE PAVEMENTS
Mr Greg Ockwell from West Sussex County Council to give members an update on the City Centre pavement project.
5. MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 15 AUGUST 2024
To approve and sign as a correct record the minutes of the Planning and Conservation Committee meeting held on 15 August 2024.
6. APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
Planning Adviser to report (report attached).
7. ENFORCEMENT MATTERS
To note any planning enforcement matters.
Minute 40 – BHESCo proposal to be placed on the next Full Council agenda.
Noted for inclusion on the agenda for Full Council on 25th September 2024, councillors are advised that representatives from BHESCo has been invited to give a presentation.
Minute 44 – Email Councillors about EV Charging Points consultation
Councillor Vivian to report.
Minute 45 – Submit a response Regarding the proposed changes to the NPPF on behalf of the City Council.
Response has been submitted by the Planning Advisor.
Minute 48 – Invitation to Neighbourhood Plan consultants to a special meeting of the committee
Members are advised that a special meeting has not been called. It is proposed that the two selected neighbourhood plan consultants, are invited to give councillors a briefing via Zoom before the next Planning and Conservation meeting on 10th October 2024. With committee making a formal decision at their next formal meeting.

The filming, photographing and recording of City Council meetings is now permitted by those members of the press and public attending. This includes the use of mobile devices by those using social media. It would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to do this could let the Chairman know before the meeting commences.
However, these provisions will not apply on occasions where the press and public are excluded from the meeting when confidential matters are discussed.
It is requested that discretion is exercised, and nothing done to disrupt or distract the meeting in any way. The Chairman will reserve the right to request that filming/recording ceases if it is having a detrimental effect upon the meeting. If you do not wish to be filmed then please let the Chairman know so that alternative arrangements can be made.
