4. MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 22 JUNE 2023
Further to corrections to the minutes noted at the meeting of the City Council held on 28 June 2023, to approve and sign as a correct record the minutes of the Planning and Conservation Committee meeting held on 22 June 2023,
Corrections noted:
- Attendance record – Chichester District Councillor Adrian Moss was present.
- Attendance record – Entry should read West Sussex County Councillor Simon Oakley.
- Declarations of Interest – Councillor Scicluna declared an interest as the City Council’s representative on the Chichester Conservation Area Advisory Committee.

6. APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMISSION

7. 20MPH DEFAULT WIDE AREA SPEED LIMIT – UPDATE

8. CITY CENTRE PAVEMENTS
To discuss a request received via a Chichester Vision meeting to submit a letter to West Sussex County Council emphasising City Council support of advancing the City Centre Pavements repairs and improvements project.
9. ACTIVE TRAVEL IN CHICHESTER PROPOSALS
To note the proposed cycling, wheeling and walking improvements for the route between Fishbourne and Chichester City Centre, encompassing Fishbourne Road East and Westgate (identified as Route K in the Chichester District Council’s Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan – LCWIP)

The filming, photographing and recording of City Council meetings is now permitted by those members of the press and public attending. This includes the use of mobile devices by those using social media. It would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to do this could let the Chairman know before the meeting commences.
However, these provisions will not apply on occasions where the press and public are excluded from the meeting when confidential matters are discussed.
It is requested that discretion is exercised and nothing done to disrupt or distract the meeting in any way. The Chairman will reserve the right to request that filming/recording ceases if it is having a detrimental effect upon the meeting. If you do not wish to be filmed then please let the Chairman know so that alternative arrangements can be made
