West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is inviting all Chichester residents to help save a life.
On Tuesday 24 May 2022 from 9.30am to 11.30am, Swanfield Park Community Centre will be running a FREE CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) familiarisation session.
In the last two years, South East Coast Ambulance Service has installed many Public Access Defibrillators in the Chichester community to join the thousands already installed across the UK.

Saturday 4th June will see Chichester City Council’s Gala procession followed by a family fun day in Priory Park.
The Gala Procession will set off from New Park at 11am, process along New Park Road, Priory Road, St Peter’s, North Street, East Street, St Pancras and back in to New Park Road before the Family Fun Day starts in Priory Park at midday.
The Family Fun Day will bring traditional fun and entertainment to Priory Park including a miniature fun fair, tea tent with traditional deck chairs, vintage market, Zorbing, hog roast, meet the alpacas, as well as live music, arena events and other entertainments.
Free entry and EVERYONE is welcome.

Chichester District residents of all ages are being invited to attend the Big Swanfield Event, an exciting health and wellbeing afternoon on Monday 11 April at Swanfield Community Centre.
A new campaign is launching in Chichester District south of the Downs to tackle the troublesome issue of excessive noise from anti-social driving.
The issue of noisy vehicles often driven at speed or with the intention of making a lot of noise, has been raised by residents with the Police and Councillors for many years. With the onset of Covid lockdowns, noise issues got much worse and are still at a high level.
County, District, City and Parish Councillors have come together to set up a new group called RAVEN which stands for Residents Against Vehicle Excessive Noise.
Chichester City Council, organisers of the highly successful Diamond Jubilee Celebration in 2012, are planning a carnival procession through the centre of Chichester at 11am on Saturday 4 June 2022.
This will be followed by a family fun afternoon with stalls and attractions in Priory Park from 12 noon.

West Sussex County Council is currently undertaking its annual consultation about the Post-16 Transport Policy Statement.
The consultation aims to make sure the information in the Policy Statement is up to date and complete.
The Policy Statement sets out the help that is available through the council, schools, colleges and transport operators for young people of sixth-form age and those who are 19+ with an Education Health and Care Plan to get to school or college.
A consultation is now open and available online here and runs until Sunday 10 April 2022.
All responses will be considered before the council’s Post-16 Transport Policy statement is published at the end of May.
