Under the New Homes Bonus scheme, the Government currently makes a payment to local authorities for every home added to their Council Tax and the District Council receive this fund which is then apportioned to Parish Councils.
This year Chichester City Council has been allocated £49,138 for community projects.

Your first point of contact should be your City Councillor who will ‘champion’ your project or you can contact Kim Martin firstname.lastname@example.org at Chichester City Council to discuss your project and find out if it would be appropriate for consideration as a New Homes Bonus project.
Draft New Homes Bonus applications need to be submitted to Chichester City Council by 28 June 2021.
A presentation of the proposed project will be required at the Special Chichester City Council Meeting (hosted via Zoom Meetings) on Wednesday 7 July 2021 at a time to be advised.
If your project is supported by Chichester City Council, the application will be submitted to Chichester District Council to meet their deadline of Friday 30 July 2021.
Decisions will be made by Chichester District Council in September 2021.
