Chichester Fringe Launches New Commissioning Grant Scheme
Chichester Fringe is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new commissioning grant scheme. Two successful artists or companies will each receive a £250 grant to help bring their work to life. In addition to financial support, recipients will secure a spot in the Chichester Fringe 2025 programme.
This grant is designed for those who need additional financial assistance to develop their performances. The funds can be used for securing rehearsal space, purchasing props, or creating costumes. Successful applicants will also be given a performance slot at Chichester Fringe 2025.
From April 2024, Chichester City Council awarded Chichester Fringe a core funding grant of £15,000 over three years.
“Chichester City Council is excited to support the Chichester Fringe, fuelling the creativity of emerging artists and enriching our city’s vibrant cultural scene. These grants offer a fantastic opportunity to showcase fresh talent, provide vital support for new work, and contribute to making Chichester an even more dynamic, thriving community,”
Councillor Rhys Chant, Chair of Chichester City Council’s Arts Forum.
Applications will be open from Monday, 2 December to Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
