5. MEETING TIMES FOR PLANNING AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE

To decide start times for Planning and Conservation Committee meetings for the 2025/26 Council year.

6. MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND CONSERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 24 APRIL 2025

To approve and sign as a correct record the minutes of the Planning and Conservation Committee meeting held on 24 APRIL 2025.

7. UPDATES ON ACTIONS FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING

To note the completion of the following actions:

  • Minute 146 – Officers to provide updates to future Planning and Conservation Committee meetings regarding progress on the City Council’s Net Zero commitment.
  • Minute 151 – Town Clerk request an update from WSCC regarding the status of the traffic free zone that is due to be implemented in Orchard Gardens next to the Central Academy School and report to the next meeting of the Committee. (see agenda item 13)
  • Minute 152 – Property Maintenance Manager to provide a report outlining outstanding action from the Net Zero Working Group. (see agenda item 10)

8. APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMISSION

To review and discuss the Property Maintenance Manager’s ‘May 2025’ report on the Council’s progress towards Net-Zero.

The filming, photographing and recording of City Council meetings is now permitted by those members of the press and public attending. This includes the use of mobile devices by those using social media. It would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to do this could let the Chairman know before the meeting commences.

However, these provisions will not apply on occasions where the press and public are excluded from the meeting when confidential matters are discussed.

It is requested that discretion is exercised and nothing done to disrupt or distract the meeting in any way. The Chairman will reserve the right to request that filming/recording ceases if it is having a detrimental effect upon the meeting. If you do not wish to be filmed then please let the Chairman know so that alternative arrangements can be made
