5. UPDATES ON ACTIONS FROM THE PREVIOUS MINUTES NOT COVERED ELSEWHERE ON THE AGENDA

  • Minute 85 – To advise of costs of gift for Chartres visit once the Oxmarket have advised of a suitable artwork

  • Minute 88 – To update the Terms of Reference of the Committees and Sub-Committees and Scheme of Delegation to incorporate the agreed amendments.

  • Minute 89 – To update the grant funding policy, guidelines and terms and conditions to make clear that free use is only available during regular Council House opening hours

  • Minute 90 – To convene a meeting of the Business Plan Working Group to prepare the final report and recommendations based on the consultation results

  • Minute 90 – To establish a Working Group to review and audit Civic and Ceremonial functions and make recommendations on their delivery

  • Minute 90 – To dissolve the Portico Working Group until such time as the project is reconsidered for progression

9. REVIEW OF CHICHESTER CITY COUNCIL’S STANDING ORDERS AND FINANCIAL REGULATIONS

To note that this is being deferred to the June 2024 meetings of the Finance Committee and Full Council pending the publication of a new model Financial Regulations document by the National Association of Local Councils.

10. PLAYGROUNDS IN CHICHESTER – REQUEST FROM CHICHESTER DISTRICT COUNCIL FOR CITY COUNCIL SUPPORT FOR PLAYGROUND PROVISION IN CHICHESTER

11. CHICHESTER PRIDE MARCH – 25 MAY 2024

To consider an invitation from Chichester Pride for the City Council to be represented in the Pride March taking place through the city centre on Saturday 25 May 2024.

12. EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

To consider a briefing paper from Councillor Pramas in regards to the City Council’s statutory duty under the Equalities Act 2010.

14. ITEMS FOR INCLUSION ON THE AGENDA FOR THE NEXT MEETING

15. COMMON SEAL

The filming, photographing and recording of City Council meetings is now permitted by those members of the press and public attending. This includes the use of mobile devices by those using social media. It would be appreciated if anyone who wishes to do this could let the Chairman know before the meeting commences.

However, these provisions will not apply on occasions where the press and public are excluded from the meeting when confidential matters are discussed.

It is requested that discretion is exercised and nothing done to disrupt or distract the meeting in any way. The Chairman will reserve the right to request that filming/recording ceases if it is having a detrimental effect upon the meeting. If you do not wish to be filmed then please let the Chairman know so that alternative arrangements can be made.
